PRAYAAS

Prayaas is an initiative taken by the students of NSB for their fellow students so that they can work towards their overall development and prepare themselves for the corporate world. The main motive of Prayaas is to strive for excellence. The idea of forming such an informal group is highly appreciated by Ms. Rita Sachdev, Director NSB – NIILM School of Business and is equally supported and guided by Mr. Nikhil Kulshrestha, Dean – Academics.

Towards the attainment of the objectives laid by this team, first step was taken on 9^th September 2010 with the launch of the group which was followed by a Guest Lecture Session. The program began with prayers made to Goddess Saraswati by lightening of the lamp. Ms. Rita Sachdev, Director; Prof. Sandeep Sharma, Sr. VP Marketing and Mr. Nikhil Kulshrestha, Dean – Academics launched Prayaas by unveiling the logo – Bird of Prayaas. The lecture session witnessed highly motivating words delivered by Mr. Saurabh Kapoor, Training Head, Samsung India Pvt. Ltd. on the topic “Corporate Mantras”. He enlightened the students as to “How to Manage Ourselves’, “How to Manage Other Persons” and “How to Manage our Personal Lives” while working in the corporate world. His lecture was attended not only by the students but by the staff members as well.

Towards the end of the session, Dean appreciated the efforts of the team and encouraged students to take part in more of such kind of activities that aid them in their development process. The event ended with a vote of thanks to the guest of honour, dean, director, faculty members and students.

With the success of the first event of the group, the team is highly motivated and has promised that it will come up with some other events which will help the students in their career.
