Counseling Session at K.L. Mehta Dayanand College, Faridabad

With the initiative and guidance of Ms. Rita Sachdev, Director NSB – NIILM School of Business, on 28th August 2010, a gratis counseling session was organized at K.L. Mehta Dayanand College, Faridabad on “Confidence Building and Overcoming Shyness”. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Nikhil Kulshrestha, Dean Academics, NSB – NIILM School of Business. His oration was attended by more than 300 girls of the college. The session began with a briefing on the SWOTT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats and Trends) analysis of individuals and was followed by management games. Real life examples quoted during the epoch of the session helped the students in understanding the complexity of the various situations and has simultaneously influenced them to come out of the bondages of unconfident nature and to do some thing great to themselves. The motivation and charm of the lecture was apparent from the response set of the audience. Last stage of the session was confidence test which filled enthusiasm not only among the students but the staff of the college as well. The words articulated were strong enough in their approach that they influenced even the first year students to utter their view points in front of the august gathering. Such gesture of the students surprised even their faculty members. Cent percent positive feedback was received from the students after the session was concluded. After experiencing the constructive outcome of the session, management of K.L. Mehta Dayanand College has shown their craving for more of such motivating sessions to be conducted in their campus by NSB.
